As co-founder of the Central Oceans Group, Ms Kamilah Mohd was awarded with the award for “Most Influential Woman in Sea Freight Forwarding” by Transport International News. At the same time, the Singapore entity was lauded as “Most Trusted Transport & Logistics Company” by its peers.

Transport News announced the winners in the Women in Transport Awards 2017 category yesterday and we are very proud to be mentioned. The award winners are chosen through a combination of votes gathered from the Transport News network of respected industry partners and their own rigorous in-house research. Every one of the winners were carefully scrutinised on various aspect, ranging from a nominee’s region to their performance over the past 12 months, their commitment to innovation, their methods and even their competition to ensure that only the most deserving names walked away with one of the prestigious trophies. The editors mentioned that, in an industry that is commonly perceived to be male dominated, it can be difficult for women to gain recognition for their work and that they therefore wanted to acknowledge the achievements made by women in this competitive and rapidly developing industry, whose work deserves to be applauded.
