Suction Piles for an Offshore Field
The team in China welcomed the MV Rolldock Star in Chinese waters last week. The MV Rolldock Star is an innovative, highly adaptable transport vessels that combines semi-submersible, heavy lift and RORO capabilities. The vessel was in China to load 62 packages of Suction Piles and Anchor Chains using her heavy-lift capabilities. The team assisted with her port call to load the units, while offering all local support too. We want to thank the all parties involved for making this a smooth operation and look forward to receiving her in Chinese waters again soon!
The Suction Piles will be part of contract by Brazil’s leading exploration company for the development of a gasfield located approximately 200 kilometres off the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at 2,200 metres water depth in the pre-salt Santos basin.
