Southside of Chicago

Sometimes it is not the biggest cargoes that pose a challenge, but it is the location of the site. Our team was asked to transport two very high units of 4.6 Meter from inner Mexico to the southside of Chicago. The location in Chicago was surrounded by railway tracks and overhead bridges, making a delivery very challenging.

To circumvent most of the problem areas, we worked out a solution and travelled with the cargo down the shallow Bubbly Creek river using a custom build tug. After safely crossing several bridges with limited air draft, the cargo was discharged in the Southside of Chicago only miles away from the site and safely delivered hours later.
