Power to the USA
The teams in Belgium and the USA completed a shipment of four transformers for our good customer. Our team came up with unique barge solution, as rail and over-the-road haulage from port of import to the job site was not feasible. We utilized barge ramps to offload transformers at an inland marine terminal, used a specialized dual lane trailer due to bridges along route and then transferred the cargo to a smaller single-line SPMT for final delivery to the pad.
We had to overcome challenging weather conditions, but were able to complete all deliveries ahead of site’s required schedule. A big thank you to all parties involved for making this a success.
