Last big piece for Culzean on the way

Thanks to the efforts of all parties involved, the Glycol Regeneration Skid left the Middle East this morning for Singapore. The shipment was under very tight timelines, involved engineering work to ensure the delicate skid was secured safely with only stoppers welded at the foot of the unit, involved planning for the overheight to fit under deck and supported by practical assistance from our Port Captain Ahmad. The unit is one of the last heavy pieces to be installed on the topside made for the Culzean Field Development, which will be installed at a water depth of some 90 meters about 145 miles East of Aberdeen. The Culzean gas field is expected to be capable of providing around 5% of the UK’s total gas consumption by 2020/21.
